The Opportunity
As our product and engineering organisation scales past 70+ product engineers, developer productivity, quality, and reliability grow into strategic levers — not afterthoughts. We're hiring a Platform Engineer to join our Developer Productivity (DevPro) team and help make it easier, safer, and faster for product engineers to build, ship, and operate software at scale.
How We Work
We believe:
- Product engineers are our customers
- Platforms should be treated as products
- Self-service scales better than ticket queues
- Great internal tooling creates external business impact
- Guardrails beat manual approvals
- Partner closely with product engineering teams to understand recurring pain points
- Turn repeated requests into reusable tooling, templates, and documentation
- Contribute to service catalogs, data catalogs, blueprints, and internal documentation
- Coach teams on platform capabilities and engineering best practices
- Build and improve internal developer platforms (IDP) that help engineers create, deploy, and operate services with confidence
- Create reusable golden paths for common workflows such as: new service setup and runtime operations, CI/CD onboarding, infrastructure provisioning, and observability setup
- Build internal tools that reduce repetitive manual work and cognitive load
- Build monitoring, logging, tracing, dashboards, and alerting systems
- Improve visibility into system health, dependencies, and service reliability
- Help define and evolve SLOs, SLIs, and engineering health metrics
- Apply AI to improve developer productivity, for example: test generation, CI failure analysis, codebase discovery, internal support assistants, and operational troubleshooting
- 5+ years of commercial engineering experience in Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or related areas
- Hands-on programming experience in at least one programming language
- Practical experience across several of the following areas: cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure-as-Code and cost optimisation, observability and reliability engineering, test environments and test data management, internal developer platforms / service catalogs / data catalogs, and API performance testing and optimisation
- Strong problem-solving skills and pragmatic decision making
- Ability to zoom in and out — from debugging low-level issues to improving organisation-wide workflows
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced startup
- Able to work 3 days a week from our Sofia office
- Experience in a startup or scale-up environment
- Experience building reusable platform products used by many teams
- Experience with AWS, Terraform, GitHub Actions, New Relic
- Familiarity with Backstage or other IDP platforms
- Experience building AI-enabled internal tools
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- An engineer with at least 5 years of experience in startups or scale-ups
- Passionate about developer productivity and experience, and you enjoy partnering with product engineering teams across the organisation to continuously improve the software development lifecycle efficiency
- Based in Sofia (BG)
Back in 2019, we launched MANUAL to tackle men's health (starting with hair loss and sexual health). A few years later, we launched Voy with a focus on weight loss. But our ambition has always been bigger. Healthcare too often treats conditions in isolation, not people as a whole, and we're on a mission to prove there's a better way.
In 2025, we evolved from MANUAL into Voy, a brand built for the long game: supporting people through every stage of life, not just a single diagnosis. Today, we support over 1 million members across the UK, Germany and Brazil, delivering personalised care across weight loss, menopause, hair loss and TRT (with more categories on the way).
