Head of IT Cloud Computing

This role is responsible for leading the organization's cloud strategy, operations, architecture, security, governance, and team management to ensure a secure, reliable, scalable, and cost-effective cloud environment that supports business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the organization's cloud strategy, roadmap, standards, and governance.
- Ensure cloud services are highly available, reliable, secure, and meet agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
- Oversee cloud operations, including monitoring, incident, problem, change, capacity, performance, backup, and disaster recovery management.
- Review and guide cloud architecture, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-efficient while promoting Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation.
- Collaborate with Security, Risk, Compliance, and Internal Audit teams to maintain cloud security controls, regulatory compliance, vulnerability management, and audit readiness.
- Manage cloud governance and financial operations (FinOps), including resource utilization, cost optimization, budget control, and cloud resource ownership.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with cloud providers, vendors, and internal stakeholders while overseeing vendor performance and providing regular management reports.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Cloud Engineering team by setting priorities, managing workloads, evaluating performance, and fostering a collaborative, accountable, and service-oriented culture.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in IT Infrastructure and Cloud Computing, including 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience in cloud architecture, operations, governance, and cloud security.
- Familiar with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible) and container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of ITIL, disaster recovery, cloud cost optimization (FinOps), and vendor management.
- Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP, ITIL, or FinOps) are an advantage
