Your tasks

• Develop and maintain features for STACKIT's compute products, covering generic server capabilities, GPU servers, and confidential computing
• Contribute upstream to open source projects such as OpenStack and YAOOK, and modify virtualization technology where needed to enable product features
• Optimize virtual machine performance, including live migration
• Introduce new generations of machine types and extend the compute product portfolio
• Evaluate and integrate GPU and confidential computing technologies

Your profile

• Strong programming skills in Go (Golang) and Python
• Solid experience with OpenStack in a production environment
• Strong understanding of Linux virtualization — KVM, QEMU, and libvirt
• Hands-on experience operating infrastructure at scale, with a focus on reliability and automation
• Comfort working close to the metal: kernel behaviour, hypervisor internals, and low-level debugging don't intimidate you
