Solution Architect – Airtel Enterprise Solutions

Role Purpose

The Solution Architect will design, architect, and drive end-to-end technology solutions for enterprise and strategic customers across connectivity, cloud, IoT, security, and digital platforms. The role bridges business requirements with scalable, secure, and resilient technical architectures aligned to Airtel’s portfolio.

Experience Required

• 3–5 years of overall IT / Telecom / Enterprise solutions experience
• 3+ years in a Solution Architect / Pre-sales / Technical Design role
• Strong exposure to telecom, IT services, cloud, or managed services environments
• Experience working with large enterprise or government customers
• Proven capability in customer-facing solution design and RFP/RFI responses

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end solution architecture for enterprise deals and programs
• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-effective architectures
• Design solutions spanning connectivity, cloud, security, data center, IoT, and digital services
• Lead technical pre-sales, solution workshops, and customer presentations
• Work closely with sales, product, delivery, and partner teams
• Ensure architectures follow industry best practices, compliance, and Airtel standards
• Support solution costing, documentation, and handover to delivery teams

Core Technology & Domain Expertise

Telecom & Network

• MPLS, SD-WAN, VPN, DIA, LAN/WAN
• Network security fundamentals (FW, IDS/IPS, ZTNA concepts)
• Understanding of 5G, IoT connectivity, and edge use cases (good to have)

Cloud & Data Center

• Hands-on architecture exposure to AWS / Azure / GCP (at least one)
• Hybrid cloud, VPC/VNET design, DR & high-availability architectures
• Colocation, DC migration, BCDR, backup strategies

Security

• Enterprise security architectures
• Secure network design, identity & access concepts
• Familiarity with SOC, SIEM, SSE, SASE models (preferred)

Enterprise & Digital

• Application hosting, middleware, APIs, microservices (high-level)
• Understanding of ERP/CRM ecosystems (SAP, Oracle, Salesforce – conceptual)
• Knowledge of IoT platforms, smart city, OT / industrial solutions (preferred)

Skills & Competencies

• Strong architecture thinking and solution design skills
• Excellent customer communication and presentation abilities
• Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for business stakeholders
• Commercial awareness and solution costing mindset
• Strong documentation and proposal writing capability

Certifications (Preferred)

• Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP – Architect level preferred)
• Networking certifications (CCNP / equivalent – good to have)

Security certifications (CCSP, CISSP – added advantage)
