Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Job Purpose

FAC Services is seeking a hands-on Senior Infrastructure Engineer to own hybrid infrastructure operations across Azure, Azure Arc–enabled servers, on-premises server infrastructure, and core infrastructure networking. This role is accountable for platform administration, capacity management, Terraform-based infrastructure delivery, hybrid governance, and secure, reliable operation of the environments that support FAC’s business services. This is a senior infrastructure ownership role focused on server, network, firewall, automation, and platform modernization.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Own the administration, configuration, performance, and lifecycle management of Azure-hosted servers, Azure Arc–enabled servers, and on-premises server infrastructure.
• Own capacity planning and capacity management across compute, storage, networking, and supporting infrastructure services to ensure scalability, resiliency, and predictable performance.
• Manage and optimize hybrid infrastructure connecting Azure and on-premises environments, including consistent governance and operational administration of Arc-enabled systems.
• Build, maintain, and improve Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform to standardize infrastructure deployment, configuration, and change management.
• Administer and support core infrastructure networking, including on-premises networking, hybrid connectivity, routing, switching, VPN connectivity, segmentation, and firewall rule administration.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize infrastructure health, utilization, performance, availability, and reliability across cloud and on-premises platforms.
• Implement and maintain secure configurations for servers, networking, and hybrid infrastructure services aligned with operational and security requirements.
• Partner with security and infrastructure leadership on hardening, patching, vulnerability remediation, logging, alerting, and control maturity across hybrid systems.
• Maintain and improve disaster recovery, backup, recovery, and business continuity procedures for infrastructure services and validate them through periodic review and testing.
• Document infrastructure standards, network configurations, system dependencies, operational procedures, and recovery processes to improve repeatability, supportability, and audit readiness.
• Provide technical leadership through influence, documentation, mentorship, and cross-training that improves team capability and operational consistency.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with a focus on Azure environments.
• Deep understanding of Microsoft well architected framework.
• Strong hands-on experience administering Microsoft Azure infrastructure in production environments
• Significant hands-on experience with Azure Arc and administration of Arc-enabled servers in hybrid environments is required.
• Experience administering Windows Server environments across both Azure-hosted and on-premises infrastructure.
• Experience with enterprise networking concepts and administration, including routing, switching, VPNs, segmentation, and hybrid connectivity.
• Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices for provisioning, configuration, and infrastructure management.
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring, disaster recovery, backup/recovery operations, and performance optimization
• Strong desire to mentor and empower junior engineers.
