One of the world's most iconic entertainment and technology companies is searching for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join their Generative AI Engineering team on a hybrid basis in just outside Orlando in Celebration, FL. In this role, you will serve as a cornerstone of a cutting-edge AI platform team, owning the reliability, scalability, and infrastructure strategy behind some of the most innovative generative AI and conversational experience platforms in the industry.
You will lead a team of SREs and DevOps specialists, architecting multi-cloud environments and driving the kind of high-availability, high-traffic infrastructure that operates at true enterprise scale. This exciting opportunity to lead cloud infrastructure for a world-class generative AI platform begins as a 22-month W2 contract offering competitive benefits and the strong potential for extension/conversion. The role is onsite 3-4 days per week in Celebration, FL (32830).
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Site Reliability Engineers and DevOps specialists, setting technical direction and assigning work within an Agile/Scrum environment
- Architect, design, and maintain multi-cloud infrastructure across GCP (primary), AWS (secondary), and Azure (tertiary) supporting AI and data service workloads at scale
- Design and build Helm charts and Terraform infrastructure configurations to maintain 99.99% annual availability SLAs
- Manage and modernize platform applications including LiteLLM, Open Web UI, Archestra, and Arize AX, while supporting back-end systems such as Kafka, PostgreSQL, Redis, Vault, MongoDB, and n8n
- Plan and implement automated deployment pipelines using Harness, including modern rollout patterns like blue/green deployments, canary releases, and feature flags
- Implement observability, monitoring, alerting, and distributed tracing best practices across platform components using Splunk, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and AppDynamics
- Partner with capacity planning teams to ensure infrastructure scalability aligns with expected high-traffic workloads and growth projections
- Provide architectural guidance on solution infrastructure, platform sizing, and volume estimations
- Establish and maintain operational processes including backups, version updates, security patching, and business continuity compliance
- Evaluate and champion emerging DevOps and SRE technologies, influencing reliability strategy across AI and platform engineering teams
- Ensure adherence to enterprise governance, security standards, and identity/data protection compliance frameworks
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience required; Master's degree preferred
- 7+ years of SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering experience in large-scale, high-traffic production environments
- Extensive, hands-on experience with both GCP and AWS in production; multi-cloud or hybrid cloud infrastructure management is a must
- Expert-level Kubernetes operations including cluster scaling, uptime management, and Helm-based configuration management
- Advanced proficiency in Terraform and Harness for infrastructure automation and deployment orchestration
- Strong scripting ability in Python, Bash, and YAML for automation and reliability workflows
- Hands-on production experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, MongoDB, and Vault
- Deep experience with CI/CD orchestration tools including Harness, GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins, and/or Azure DevOps
- Proficiency with enterprise observability platforms such as Splunk, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and AppDynamics
- Strong understanding of system security, identity management, and data protection compliance models
- Proven ability to lead large-scale, infrastructure-focused initiatives and mentor cross-functional engineering teams
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Outstanding troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities across distributed systems
