Job Description
Presales AWS Cloud Specialist
We are looking for a high-impact Presales AWS Cloud Specialist to drive our cloud growth strategy. This is a specialized role focused on generating Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) by architecting end-to-end AWS journeys. You will be the technical engine behind our sales team, transforming business requirements into high-value Professional Services and Managed Services engagements.
Your expertise will span the full breadth of the AWS ecosystem, with a focus on modernizing infrastructure and leveraging the latest in Data and Generative AI.
Key Responsibilities
- Executive Strategy & ARR Growth: Partner with CIOs and Heads of IT to build long-term cloud roadmaps that drive sustainable ARR. You will be responsible for the technical validation that leads to contract signatures.
- Full-Spectrum Solutioning: Design and pitch comprehensive solutions across six critical AWS pillars:
- Cloud Infrastructure: Core compute, storage, and networking.
- Security: Identity management, compliance, and zero-trust architectures.
- Migration: Leading "Lift-and-Shift" or "Refactor" strategies (MAP 2.0 familiarity).
- Data & AI: Modern data lakes, analytics, and Generative AI (Amazon Bedrock/SageMaker).
- Modernization: Transitioning legacy workloads to containers and serverless.
- DevOps: Implementing CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Service Scoping & Sales: * Architect Professional Services packages (consulting, implementation, migration).
- Position Managed Services to provide ongoing operational excellence and cost optimization for clients.
- Technical Proposal Excellence: Lead the creation of technical bids, including:
- Statements of Work (SOW): Defining clear project phases and success criteria.
- Bill of Materials (BoM): Accurate AWS service mapping.
- Cost Estimations: Detailed TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) and ROI analysis.
- Collaborative Handover: Work closely with Sales Reps to accelerate the sales cycle and provide a seamless transition to the Delivery teams to ensure project success.
- Experience: 5+ years in a Presales or Solution Architecture role, with a proven track record of selling AWS-based services.
- AWS Domain Mastery: Deep technical knowledge in Infrastructure, Security, Migration, Data/AI, Modernization, and DevOps.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of AWS pricing models, ARR drivers, and the ability to scope profitable Professional and Managed Services.
- Consultative Selling: Ability to conduct technical workshops and deliver high-stakes demos to C-level stakeholders.
- Certification: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or Specialty certifications (Security, Data Analytics, or Machine Learning) are highly desired.
