We are seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in architecting, automating and operating cloud-based infrastructure on AWS. The right candidate will guide engineering teams, set technical direction and drive improvements in deployment workflows, infrastructure resilience, scalability, security and operational maturity. This position demands strong hands-on command of CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, cloud platforms, container ecosystems, observability and automation, along with proven leadership capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, implementation and evolution of cloud infrastructure on AWS
- Drive the design and continuous enhancement of CI/CD pipelines for application delivery
- Establish automation standards for infrastructure provisioning and configuration through Infrastructure as Code
- Oversee containerized workloads and cloud-native solutions across environments
- Partner with development, QA, security and operations teams to align technical strategy
- Elevate system resilience, scalability, performance and security across the platform
- Guide production monitoring, incident response and root cause analysis efforts
- Mentor engineers and champion DevOps best practices throughout the organization
Requirements
- Extensive background as a DevOps Engineer or Cloud Engineer, including leadership experience
- Deep hands-on expertise with AWS
- Proven work with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps or similar
- Advanced command of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep or Pulumi
- Solid expertise in Docker and containerized environments
- Strong grasp of Kubernetes or managed cloud container services
- Practical experience with monitoring, logging and alerting platforms
- Advanced scripting abilities in Bash, Python, PowerShell or similar
- Solid command of networking, security and cloud architecture principles
- Capability to lead initiatives independently and own production environments
Nice to have
- Hands-on background in Kubernetes administration
- Familiarity with Helm, Argo CD or GitOps practices
- Knowledge of cloud security and compliance
- Exposure to serverless architectures
- Practical skills in cost optimization for cloud environments
