The IT Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Enterprise Architecture and Cloud Operations is a senior leadership position responsible for developing and driving the strategic vision, design, and implementation of enterprise-wide architecture and Cloud solutions to achieve key business objectives. This role provides leadership and direction and oversees IT and business architecture, cloud operations services platform, and the universal communications cloud team, ensuring alignment between technology initiatives and organizational goals. The AVP will collaborate with executive leadership, business units, and IT teams to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative solutions that support business growth guided by company and functional strategy and objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field and ten years of progressive experience in IT architecture, business architecture, and cloud technologies.
- Three years of experience in senior leadership capacity.
- Deep knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and unified communications solutions.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Proven experience in leading cloud operations and communications teams.
- Ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor cross-functional teams.
- Strategic thinking and business acumen; experience aligning IT initiatives with organizational goals.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Builds and sustains strong relationships with executive leaders, business partners, and external stakeholders to advance strategic priorities and enterprise alignment.
- Evaluates complex business challenges and guides the development of innovative, scalable solutions that support organizational objectives.
- Leads a significant enterprise function, setting direction and executing long-term strategy to achieve key business outcomes.

- Drives stakeholder alignment and commitment to enterprise architecture strategies and transformation initiatives.
- Translates complex technical concepts into clear business terms and delivers effective executive communications and briefings.
- Enterprise Architecture Leadership
- Provides strategic leadership for the enterprise architecture framework, ensuring technology strategy, standards, and roadmaps are aligned with business objectives and long-term organizational priorities.
- Establish strategic architectural standards and best practices across all IT domains.
- Lead cross-functional teams in designing and implementing integrated solutions.
- Business Architecture
- Provides strategic leadership and executive oversight for the business architecture function, directing the definition and evolution of business processes, capabilities, and organizational structures to improve operational efficiency and enable enterprise priorities.
- Identifies and sponsors enterprise process improvement and technology enablement opportunities that increase organizational effectiveness, scalability, and business value.
- Partners with executive and business leaders to translate strategic priorities and operating needs into actionable business architecture and enterprise design decisions.
- Cloud Operations Services Platform
- Provides executive oversight for the strategy, development, deployment, and lifecycle management of the cloud operations services platform to ensure reliable, scalable, and business-aligned service delivery.
- Ensures the cloud services environment delivers high availability, resilience, scalability, and security in alignment with enterprise risk, compliance, and operational requirements.
- Champions the adoption of cloud-native capabilities, automation, and modern operational practices to improve service quality, efficiency, and speed to value.
- Establishes performance measures and operational governance to proactively identify risks, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement across cloud operations.
- Universal Communications Cloud Team
- Provides strategic leadership for the Universal Communications cloud team, directing the design, delivery, and continuous evolution of enterprise unified communications capabilities.
- Oversees the integration of voice, video, messaging, and collaboration platforms with enterprise systems to deliver a secure, seamless, and business-aligned user experience.
- Champions innovation in cloud-based communications capabilities to strengthen workforce connectivity, collaboration, and productivity across remote, hybrid, and in-office environments.
- Ensures communications platforms operate in compliance with regulatory requirements, enterprise policies, and industry standards while maintaining reliability, security, and operational governance.
- Government and Risk Management
- Establish governance frameworks for architecture, cloud operations, and communications platforms.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to technology, security, and compliance.
