Job Title: Senior Manager, Enterprise Architect, MarTech (Global-China Focus)


Position Summary

Global consumer brand is seeking an Enterprise Architect for it’s MarTech division. The Enterprise Architect MarTech designs, implements, and optimizes enterprise-scale marketing technology solutions with specialized expertise in China's digital ecosystem. Reporting to the Senior Director of MarTech Platform & Innovation, this technical leader bridges marketing business objectives with sophisticated technology architecture, driving innovation across MarTech platforms while ensuring seamless global compliance.


Core Responsibilities

  • MarTech Platform Architecture Design – Design end-to-end MarTech stacks leveraging CDP (Customer Data Platform) and MA (Marketing Automation) solutions for China, based on the enterprise’s China data foundation. Architect CDP platform implementations and data pipelines setup. Execute complex integrations and design MA touch points such as email automation workflows and multi-channel campaign orchestration. Create technical architectural diagrams and documentation of cloud and network infrastructure, platform configurations, and data foundation.
  • China Digital Ecosystem Expertise – Demonstrate hands-on experience with China's MarTech landscape including local CDPs, DMPs, and major local platforms (e.g., WeChat, Alipay, Douyin, and Little Red Book integration). Evaluate and integrate China-specific vendors while ensuring compliance with PIPL, Cross Border Data Transfer, Cybersecurity Law, and local advertising standards. Architect solutions accounting for Great Firewall technical limitations and optimize for China's unique ecosystems.
  • Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps – Design cloud-native network architectures for MarTech and its China data foundation using local/global cloud providers (e.g., Alibaba Cloud/AWS/Azure) including data sync between global and China environments, leveraging Docker containers, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform). Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines enabling automated testing, blue/green deployments, and canary rollouts. Establish comprehensive observability practices including centralized logging, distributed tracing, metrics collection, and alerting.
  • Technical Leadership – Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on cloud & solution architecture, and microservices design. Conduct design and architecture reviews to ensure technical consistency. Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical strategy, architecture & roadmaps.

  • Development – Version Control (Git/GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket), Project Management (JIRA, Azure DevOps), API Testing (Postman), API Documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI), IDEs (VS Code), Languages (Python, Java, Node.js, NPM)
  • Security & Compliance – IAM (Okta, Azure Active Directory), Secrets Management (1Password, HashiCorp Vault), Web Security (Cloudflare, AWS WAF), SCA (Snyk, Dependabot), Auth Protocols (OAuth 2.0, SAML)

Education & Experience

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field
  • 5-7 years of professional experience in MarTech architecture, implementation, or technical marketing roles
  • 3+ years with enterprise MarTech platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Experience Platform, or equivalent)
  • 2+ years with Customer Data Platform (CDP) implementations and data architecture
  • Demonstrated expertise in China's digital ecosystem (WeChat, Alipay, Douyin, PIPL compliance)
  • Strong SQL proficiency with complex queries and data transformation
  • Experience with API-first architecture, REST APIs, webhooks, and iPaaS platforms
  • Solid understanding of data governance and privacy regulations (GDPR, PIPL, CCPA)
  • Agile/SCRUM development and project management experience
  • Proven track record leading technical implementations from design through production

Preferred

  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Adobe Certified Associate credentials
  • Experience with multiple CDP platforms
  • Hospitality, travel technology, or consumer industry background
  • Fluency in English
  • Generative AI applications in marketing experience
  • Cloud experience (Alibaba Cloud, AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Mobile app marketing, performance marketing analytics, attribution modeling experience
  • Published technical blog posts, conference presentations, or open-source contributions
