Responsibilities

As a DevOps Engineer at Sim Sector Studios, you will:

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to design and implement scalable, reliable, and efficient infrastructure solutions.
• Manage and monitor AWS-based environments, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Contribute to the implementation and enhancement of CI/CD pipelines, automating deployment processes to streamline development workflows.
• Work on infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, ensuring the reliability and scalability of our systems.
• Actively participate in troubleshooting, incident response, and resolution to maintain a robust and stable environment.

Requirements

• Solid understanding of AWS services and infrastructure.
• Proficiency in version control systems, preferably GitHub.
• Knowledge with CI/CD tools and processes.
• Knowledge of infrastructure management and monitoring.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• A solid understanding of Linux, including hands-on experience in using, implementing, and developing with Linux and open source concepts.
• Problem-Solving approach, comfortable gathering requirements and strong communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD platforms for automating workflows.
• Experience with AWS services, best practices for security, scalability, and cost optimization.
• Understanding of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Interest in staying up-to-date with industry trends, especially those related to DevOps practices and tools.
• A passion for continuous learning, researching, and a keen interest in open-source technologies.
• Familiarity with SDLC and how software is built.
• Experience with BASH scripting.
• Understanding API concepts.
• Possess a foundational understanding of relational databases (Postgresql preferred)
