DevOps Engineer

Native Teams is a global platform for work payments and employment. Beyond managing payroll, compliance, and taxes, we integrate financial tools to maximize the value of every work payment, worldwide.

We are expanding our global team, and we’re looking for a Database DevOps Engineer to bring their wider knowledge and help us get our product and service more widely known and used.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure, including VPCs, EC2 instances, RDS, Global Accelerator, networking, security groups, and load balancing.
• Manage SSL certificate automation and domain infrastructure, including Cloudflare DNS integration and certificate renewal processes.
• Support multi-environment and multi-region deployments on AWS.
• Monitor and maintain application availability, traffic routing, and performance through supporting AWS services.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployments.
• Manage and automate deployment processes across multiple environments (development, staging, production).
• Build and improve CI/CD workflows when existing pipelines do not meet requirements.
• Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and suggest to developers query optimization.
• Handle database backups, replication, failover strategies, and disaster recovery planning.
• Work closely with engineering teams to support microservices architecture and database integrations.
• Manage and optimize Redis-based queues and caching systems.
• Maintain and improve infrastructure on AWS, including: Virtual machines, Load balancers, and Managed caching systems (Elasticache).
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration where possible.
• Ensure system observability through logging, monitoring, and alerting.
• Participate in incident response and root cause analysis.
• Set up containers for microservices in Docker.

Requirements

• Experience with AWS managed services such as RDS, ElastiCache, CloudWatch, and networking components.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with building and maintaining pipelines.
• Experience working in a microservices architecture.
• Proven experience with Redis (queues, caching, performance tuning).
• Strong experience with AWS infrastructure (compute, networking, load balancing, caching).
• Experience with deployment automations.
• Familiarity with Linux system administration.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals and security best practices.
• Experience with containerization (we are using Docker containers).
