Senior Infrastructure & Data Ops Engineer

Tradition is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Infrastructure & Data Ops Engineer to be based in our Lausanne office.

Main responsibilities within the Senior Infrastructure & Data Ops Engineer position include:

• Oversee the design, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the firm’s on-premise first IT infrastructure, consisting of Windows, Linux and data engineering technologies
• Drive technical initiatives to continual automate operations using scripting, configuration‑management and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and/or Ansible.
• Following strong corporate framework incident, change and configuration management.
• Collaborate with global IT operations, cybersecurity and platform teams to ensure reliability, scalability and compliance.
• Document infrastructure, SOPs and knowledge‑base articles.
• Support Data Engineering & Data Science platforms, ensuring high availability and performance for data‑intensive workloads.
• Implement DataOps principles, automating data‑pipeline infrastructure and monitoring.
• Optimize storage and compute resources for large‑scale analytics.
• Build and operate AI/ML infrastructure, GPU clusters, model serving platforms, vector databases, and observability for AI workloads.
• Leverage AI tools in daily engineering work.

Key skills and experience required in this role:

• 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure administration, systems engineering, or DevOps-based environment.
• Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or an equivalent field.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure design, ITIL fundamentals, and cloud or hybrid operations.
• Proficiency with Linux and Windows systems, virtualization platforms, advanced networking, and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, or similar). Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and monitoring frameworks (Prometheus, Grafana, Open Telemetry, Alert Manager) is required.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities across global teams. Fluent written and spoken English.
