Senior DevOps Engineer
Indexed description
Our client is a B2B casino and sports-gaming studio building slots, crash, and sports-betting titles for operators across multiple regulated markets. They are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to take ownership of cloud infrastructure end-to-end.
• Maintain and extend our Terraform/Terragrunt codebase (remote state in S3 + DynamoDB)
• Operate and upgrade EKS (we use EKS Auto Mode), RDS Postgres, ElastiCache Redis, Nginx ingress, NAT Gateways, Load Balancers, VPCs, and VPC peering
• Build GitHub Actions pipelines so backend engineers can self-serve deployments safely
• Manage Cloudflare via Terraform: DNS, Tunnels, WAF, Workers, Zero Trust, and Custom Hostnames
• Operate RabbitMQ (CloudAMQP) and supporting messaging infrastructure
• Improve observability via Grafana Cloud + Alloy — dashboards, SLOs, and PagerDuty alerts
• Strengthen backups, restore procedures, and log retention, and prove they work
• Drive infra security: IAM hygiene, secrets management, network segmentation, vulnerability scanning
• Monitor and optimise cloud costs across AWS, CloudAMQP, and Cloudflare
• Spin up new clusters and environments as they expand into new markets
• Be the primary infra on-call (PagerDuty), respond to incidents, and write blameless postmortems
What they're looking for
• 5+ years hands-on DevOps / SRE / Platform Engineering experience in production
• Deep AWS experience, ideally including EKS Auto Mode (or strong EKS and the appetite to pick it up quickly)
• Strong Terraform + Terragrunt skills, including remote state and modular code at scale
• Solid Kubernetes operations: upgrades, networking, autoscaling, observability, troubleshooting
• Experience designing GitHub Actions pipelines that empower developers to deploy themselves
• Comfort with Cloudflare’s broader product set — Tunnels, WAF, Workers, Zero Trust managed as code
• Practical PostgreSQL and Redis production experience: tuning, backups, scaling, incident triage
• A security-first and cost-aware mindset by default
• Comfortable as primary infra on-call, owning incident response end-to-end
Nice to have
• Experience in iGaming, sports-betting, fintech, or another regulated, low-latency, real-money industry
• Experience supporting B2B platforms with multi-operator integrations (multi-tenant, per-operator config, partner SLAs)
• Familiarity with gaming compliance: jurisdictional licensing, RNG audits, GLI standards, or SOC 2 / ISO 27001 readiness
