AWS Cloud Platform Engineer

We’re looking for an AWS Cloud Platform Engineer to build and maintain data-intensive platforms. You’ll collaborate with architects, product owners, and data engineers to develop data infrastructure (Data Mesh, pipelines, MLOps) and work on user stories across DevOps, data engineering, and ML topics, while supporting agile processes and providing technical guidance.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design, build, and maintain scalable AWS cloud infrastructure supporting enterprise-level data platforms, analytics workloads, and cloud-native solutions
- Develop and automate infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code best practices
- Design, implement, and maintain complex AWS networking architectures, including VPCs, Transit Gateway, routing, connectivity, and security controls
- Build and maintain cloud-native and event-driven solutions leveraging AWS Glue, Athena, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, Kinesis, DynamoDB, RDS, and Step Functions
- Collaborate closely with Data Platform Architects, Product Owners, Data Engineers, and Machine Learning teams to further develop and maintain enterprise data platforms
- Support the implementation of data pipelines, real-time data streaming, analytics, and MLOps capabilities within modern cloud environments
- Develop automation scripts, operational tooling, and platform components using PowerShell and Bash
- Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to ensure reliable and efficient application and infrastructure delivery
- Configure and maintain AWS networking, backup, disaster recovery, and security components, ensuring secure, scalable, and resilient architectures
- Monitor cloud infrastructure, data platforms, and serverless workloads using observability and operational best practices
- Work on Agile User Stories covering DevOps, cloud infrastructure, networking, data engineering, and machine learning platform topics
- Provide technical consulting and guidance on cloud architecture, DevOps practices, networking, automation, and infrastructure engineering
- Collaborate effectively within international Agile Scrum teams, contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering roles
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, particularly VPC, Transit Gateway, API Gateway, networking, security, and serverless architectures
- Proven experience with AWS data and analytics services, including Glue, Athena, S3, Kinesis, DynamoDB, and RDS
- Experience building and supporting event-driven architectures using Lambda, SQS, SNS, and Step Functions
- Strong proficiency with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
- Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell and Bash
- Experience building and maintaining enterprise data platforms, cloud-native architectures, and data-intensive solutions
- Exposure to AWS SageMaker, MLOps concepts, and machine learning infrastructure is considered a plus
- Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, scalability, high availability, backup, and disaster recovery principles
- Experience collaborating with architects, product owners, and cross-functional engineering teams
- Ability to consult stakeholders and teams on cloud architecture, infrastructure engineering, and DevOps best practices
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working within Agile Scrum environments
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English
