Job Title: Networking Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Presales & Solutions

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Networking Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support our Presales and Sales teams in designing, positioning, and delivering advanced networking solutions across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments. This role demands strong expertise in enterprise networking, cloud networking, and virtualization platforms, combined with the ability to translate business needs into scalable, secure architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary networking expert supporting Sales and Presales engagements.
• Design end-to-end network architectures across LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, WLAN, data center, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Architect networking solutions spanning on-prem infrastructure, public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), and hybrid connectivity models.
• Design and position network architectures within hypervisor platforms such as VMware (NSX-T), Hyper-V, and KVM-based environments.
• Engage customers to capture technical and business requirements and translate them into solution designs.
• Develop HLDs, LLDs, BOQs, and technical proposals aligned with customer objectives.
• Lead technical workshops, demos, and solution presentations.
• Support RFP/RFI responses with strong technical articulation and differentiation.
• Collaborate with OEMs and cloud providers for solution validation and competitive positioning.
• Integrate networking with security architectures including micro segmentation, zero trust, and SASE.
• Ensure smooth transition from presales to delivery by working closely with implementation teams.
• Stay current with trends such as cloud-native networking, Kubernetes networking, AI-driven operations, and NaaS.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 8–15+ years of experience in enterprise networking, with presales or solution architecture exposure.
• Strong expertise in routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VXLAN, EVPN).
• Hands-on experience with SD-WAN and network virtualization technologies.
• Deep understanding of cloud networking constructs:
• AWS (VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect)
• Azure (VNet, Virtual WAN, ExpressRoute)
• GCP (VPC, Cloud Interconnect)
• Experience with hybrid cloud connectivity and multi-cloud networking design.
• Strong experience with hypervisor-based networking:
• VMware NSX-T (overlay networking, microsegmentation, load balancing)
• vSphere Distributed Switch, NSX ALB (AVI)
• Hyper-V virtual networking and SDN concepts
• Familiarity with container and Kubernetes networking (CNI, service mesh) is a plus.
• Understanding of network security integration (NGFW, NAC, SASE, microsegmentation).
• Exposure to automation and IaC tools (Python, Ansible, Terraform) preferred.
• Strong documentation, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Certifications (Preferred):
• CCIE / CCNP (Enterprise/Data Center)
• VMware VCP-NV / NSX certifications
• AWS/Azure Networking Specialty certifications
• Aruba, Juniper, or equivalent vendor certifications
