The Opportunity
The Senior Cloud and Infrastructure Specialist is a senior, hands‑on technical role responsible for the design, implementation, operation, security, and optimization of cloud and infrastructure platforms across enterprise environments. This role supports business‑critical systems by ensuring availability, performance, security, and cost efficiency of hybrid infrastructure services. The role functions as a technical authority and Tier‑3 escalation point, contributing to architecture, automation, security, and continuous improvement initiatives.
This is an IN-OFFICE position, Located in Lake Mary, FL.
What You'll Do
This role would require Average 15% of Time for client help desk and 75% Of time for Cloud Systems administration and projects.
Scope & Focus
- Owns cloud and infrastructure architecture and standards
- Drives modernization, standardization, and long‑term roadmaps
- Acts as the highest technical escalation point for Cloud and Infrastructure
- Define cloud and infrastructure architecture, standards, and blueprints
- Senior‑level, hands‑on experience in cloud and infrastructure engineering
- Proven experience supporting enterprise‑scale, hybrid IT environments
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives
- Lead major platform initiatives and modernization programs
- Partner with security, applications, and business stakeholders
- Evaluate and select technologies, vendors, and platforms
- Guide cost optimization, resilience, and security strategy
- Provide mentorship and technical leadership across teams
- Serve as senior technical escalation point for Infrastructure and Cloud issues
- Mentor junior engineers and sys admins and contribute to technical standards and documentation
- Support change management, user adoption, and enterprise IT initiatives
- Work on projects as necessary
- Alternating on call / off call schedule with other Administrator.
What You Bring
Education
- Bachelor's degree in computer field
- 15+ years of expertise across cloud and infrastructure
- Deep expertise in:
- Hybrid environments, Firewalls, Network, WAPs
- Cloud: Nutanix, GCP, AWS, and Azure
- Server, storage, and virtualization administration
- Monitoring, patching, backups, and routine maintenance
- Microsoft 365 & Identity
- Large‑scale, multi‑site enterprise environments
- Disaster recovery and business continuity design
- Backup strategies and recovery planning
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders
- Experience working in enterprise IT, regulated, or security‑focused environments
- Proven ability to work independently and lead initiatives
- Nutanix certifications (administration or advanced operations)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate AZ‑104 or AZ-305
- GCP Advanced / Professional Level
- Familiarity with ITIL, change management, or enterprise governance models
