Lead Infrastructure Architect

The ideal candidate brings strong experience in Azure-based infrastructure, cloud modernization, and technical architecture, with the ability to balance long-term planning and hands-on problem solving. You will play a key role in establishing infrastructure standards, improving operational maturity, and helping shape the future direction of WME's technology ecosystem.
This role reports to WME’s Sr. Global Director of Infrastructure and Enterprise Solutions based in Beverly Hills, CA.
Responsibilities
Infrastructure Architecture & Standards
Design and evolve infrastructure solutions across cloud and hybrid environments, with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure. Establish architecture standards, reference designs, and best practices that support scalability, reliability, and security across the organization.
Cloud Modernization & Operational Excellence
Partner with infrastructure and engineering teams to modernize existing systems and improve operational efficiency. Promote Infrastructure as Code, automation, and repeatable design patterns that reduce manual effort and improve consistency.
Identity & Security Partnership
Collaborate with security teams to support modern identity and access management practices, including Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, and Zero Trust principles. Ensure architectural decisions align with security and compliance requirements.
Technology Planning & Roadmaps
Contribute to infrastructure roadmaps and technology planning efforts by evaluating current-state environments, identifying improvement opportunities, and recommending scalable solutions aligned with business priorities.
Cross-Functional Technical Leadership
Serve as a trusted technical advisor across infrastructure initiatives, partnering with engineering, security, and operations teams to evaluate technologies, guide design decisions, and drive alignment on architectural standards.
Infrastructure Design & Integration
Provide Architectural Guidance Across Key Infrastructure Domains, Including
- Cloud and hybrid infrastructure
- Compute and virtualization platforms
- Networking and connectivity
- Identity and access management
- Monitoring, observability, and alerting
- Infrastructure automation and configuration management
- Shared services and enterprise integrations
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud architecture, or related technical roles
- Strong experience designing and supporting Microsoft Azure environments, including networking, compute, identity, and governance services
- Experience developing infrastructure standards, reference architectures, or technical best practices
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and automation concepts
- Working knowledge of security and compliance frameworks such as CIS Benchmarks, NIST, or similar standards
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience contributing to cloud modernization, infrastructure transformation, or operational improvement initiatives
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with practical execution in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and passionate about solving complex technical challenges
- Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments and cloud migration initiatives
- Experience working within large, complex enterprise environments
- Familiarity with infrastructure governance, architecture review processes, and technical standards development
- Exposure to automation, self-service infrastructure models, and platform engineering concepts
Hiring Rate Maximum
$190,000 annually
