Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Cloud Ownership
- Own and manage cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Define cloud adoption strategies, governance frameworks, and operational standards.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders on cloud architecture and DevOps best practices.
- Establish policies for access management, user lifecycle management, and cloud resource governance.
- Lead cloud engineering teams through planning, prioritization, execution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Multi-Cloud Architecture & Delivery
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architectures.
- Lead cloud migration, modernization, and landing zone implementation projects.
- Manage multiple concurrent cloud initiatives across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Provide technical leadership for Kubernetes-based platforms including EKS, AKS, and GKE.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to transform proof-of-concepts into production-ready solutions.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex cloud and DevOps challenges.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Operations.
- Minimum 4 years of experience leading cloud engineering teams or technical delivery teams.
- Strong hands-on expertise with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Proven experience in cloud governance, automation, infrastructure design, and operational excellence.
- Deep understanding of networking, security, IAM, and cloud-native services.
- Demonstrated expertise in Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and automation frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
Infrastructure Automation & DevOps Excellence
- Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) adoption using Terraform.
- Implement configuration management and automation using Ansible, Python, and PowerShell.
- Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
- Design reusable automation frameworks and self-service capabilities.
- Promote an Automation-First culture by eliminating repetitive manual activities through scripting and tooling.
FinOps & Cloud Cost Optimization
- Establish cloud cost governance models, tagging standards, and budget controls.
- Implement showback and chargeback mechanisms across cloud environments.
- Monitor cloud consumption, forecast spending, and identify optimization opportunities.
- Automate cleanup of unused resources and enforce cost-management policies.
- Prepare and validate cloud cost estimates for solution design and client proposals.
Security, Governance & Compliance
- Define and implement cloud security guardrails and governance controls.
- Establish IAM standards, policy-as-code frameworks, and compliance baselines.
- Ensure separation and governance between development, testing, and production environments.
- Implement monitoring, logging, dashboards, and alerting frameworks.
- Standardize secure cloud deployment and operational practices across projects.
Client Engagement & Stakeholder Management
- Partner with clients to guide cloud transformation and modernization initiatives.
- Communicate technical risks and mitigation strategies in business-friendly language.
- Align engineering execution with client objectives and business priorities.
- Build trusted relationships with client leadership and technical teams.
Team Leadership & Mentoring
- Lead and mentor cloud and DevOps engineers.
- Support career development and technical growth within the engineering team.
- Translate complex architectural requirements into actionable engineering tasks.
- Foster a culture of knowledge sharing, automation, and continuous improvement.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate emerging cloud technologies, tools, and industry best practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, security, and cost optimization.
- Collaborate with cloud providers and technology partners to enhance solution capabilities.
- Drive adoption of platform engineering and self-service infrastructure patterns.
