General Manager Sales & Operations South Florida, $125-$250 base plus ICP
Summary
We are seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial General Manager to lead and scale a boat dealership operation in southern Florida. Ideal candidate will oversee a high-volume boat dealership, and be fully accountable for revenue growth, profitability, operational excellence, team performance, and customer experience across sales, service, and aftermarket/accessories.
The ideal candidate is a former owner/operator or senior leader, or high producing senior salesperson at a marine dealership with demonstrated success driving P&L performance, improving fixed ops profitability, and building high-performing sales and service teams.
Responsibilities
P&L Leadership & Growth
- Full P&L ownership for dealership location
- Drive top-line growth across new boat sales, finance & insurance (F&I), service, parts, and accessories
- Expand aftermarket and service revenue mix to improve margin stability
- Identify, evaluate, and secure new marine product lines and manufacturer partnerships to expand the dealership’s brand portfolio and drive revenue growth.
Sales & Revenue Strategy
- Develop regional sales strategies to increase close rates, inventory turn, and average deal size
- Build partnerships with manufacturers, lenders, marinas, and local boating communities
- Optimize pricing, promotions, and seasonal sales planning
Service & Aftermarket Optimization
- Improve service department throughput, labor utilization, and service margins
- Expand recurring revenue via maintenance plans, storage services, and accessories
- Implement standardized service KPIs and customer experience metrics
Operational Excellence
- Implement SOPs across locations for inventory management, service operations, and customer experience
- Ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards
- Lead operational reviews, forecasting, and budgeting
Leadership & Talent Development
- Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing dealership leadership teams
- Coach Sales Managers, Service Managers, and Parts Managers
- Build a performance-driven culture with accountability and incentives
Requirements - Ideal Background/Experience
- Former owner/operator or General Manager of a marine dealership (highly preferred)
- Boat dealership leadership experience (both sales and operations)
- Proven P&L ownership and EBITDA growth
- Deep understanding of boat sales cycles, service department economics, and aftermarket revenue drivers
- Strong leadership presence with hands-on operating style
- Willingness to travel between regional locations
