We are working with a top Akkodis client that is looking to add a skilled Azure Cloud Administrator. This individual will be responsible for administering and optimizing Azure cloud operations across multiple subscriptions and environments. The ideal candidate will have experience with Azure governance, networking, monitoring, identity management, and core infrastructure services while supporting secure, reliable, and cost-effective cloud operations. This role will also help establish operational best practices for Azure AI services, agentic AI initiatives, and data workflows.
The position is full-time and will be on-site based out of their location in Westlake, Ohio. Target salary will be around $75,000 - $100,000 depending on experience. Job Responsibilities for the Azure Cloud Administrator:
- Administer Azure tenants and subscriptions, including management groups, RBAC, access reviews, naming conventions, and tagging standards.
- Implement and maintain Azure governance controls through Azure Policy, compliance monitoring, exception tracking, and remediation efforts.
- Manage and troubleshoot Azure networking components including VNets, subnets, NSGs, route tables, firewalls, VPNs, ExpressRoute, private endpoints, and DNS.
- Operate and support core Azure services such as virtual machines, app services, storage accounts, backup solutions, patch management, and high-availability configurations.
- Monitor cloud environments using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, alerts, and dashboards while partnering with security teams on detection and response activities.
- Collaborate with application teams to onboard workloads using secure-by-default cloud architectures and support AI-related initiatives involving Azure AI Foundry, Azure Blob Storage, and agentic AI workloads.
Job Qualifications for the Azure Cloud Administrator:
- 3+ years of experience administering Azure in production environments or equivalent cloud administration experience with strong Azure expertise.
- Strong understanding of Azure IAM, RBAC, governance frameworks, conditional access concepts, and privileged access management workflows.
- Hands-on experience with Azure networking, connectivity troubleshooting, VPNs, ExpressRoute, DNS, firewalls, and network security controls.
- Experience managing Azure compute and storage services, including virtual machines, disks, storage accounts, backup, and patching processes.
- Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, incident response, and operational support within business-critical environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders and maintain operational documentation.
- Preferred experience with Azure Administrator certification (AZ-104), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep), Azure CLI, PowerShell scripting, CI/CD processes, Defender for Cloud, and Azure AI services.
