About The Role

Celfocus is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in AWS, with experience in other cloud providers, such as Google Cloud or Azure, considered a plus.

You will be part of a team responsible for designing, migrating, and implementing solutions on AWS. We encourage an environment of collaboration and continuous growth. In Celfocus we believe in personal growth, so opportunities will be given to learn and certify your knowledge.

You will collaborate with Developers and Architects to deliver a cloud solution that is scalable, reliable, and secure, while providing technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members.

This role requires a strong command of the English language and the ability to discuss, design and build solutions with global partners.

As a part of your job, you will:

• Collaborate with other teams and customers to understand their requirements and provide tailored cloud solutions.
• Provide technical insight to maximize value from new and existing IT products and solutions in cloud, multi-cloud, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Identify clients' technological transformation and engineering improvement opportunities and provide relevant, practical solutions to address those needs.
• Define and implement strategies and transformation plans for clients to migrate to cloud solutions using AWS.
• Always be mindful of security by default and follow security best practices.

What are we looking for?

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency/Autonomous in AWS Cloud, with deep hands-on experience across core services (compute, storage, networking, and security).
• Competence in IaC technologies like Terraform and Ansible.
• Experienced with Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (Git, GitHub, bash scripting, Linux, etc).
• Strong understanding of private, public, and hybrid cloud architecture, networking, cloud operations, and cost models.
• Proven experience leading cloud projects and mentoring junior/mid-level engineers.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Google Cloud or Azure.
• Knowledge of FinOps practices.
• AWS Certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
• Experience designing and leading cloud migration projects.

• Self-motivated and ability to adapt in a demanding multicultural environment
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written
• Strong ability to acquire new technology knowledge, particularly in other cloud providers
• Problem solver, able to think out of the box
• Ease of interpersonal relations and a taste for teamwork
• Flexibility and ability to work in environments with changing priorities
• Strong communication and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and support less experienced engineers
