System Architect - IaaS Compute & Storage
Indexed description
KBC Group provides banking services in 5 European countries. The international IT solutions of the banking group, covering several European countries, takes place with Hungarian and Belgian colleagues in Hungary and Belgium, therefore not only our services are international, but also our teams. Our responsibilities range from day-to-day operation to application development and its operation. We are constantly expanding the Hungarian side of the team, which is why we are looking for enthusiastic, motivated new team members with junior, medior or possibly senior work experience.
As System Architect for IaaS Compute & Storage within Group Data Centers (GDC), you define and guard the end to end architecture of KBC’s on premise infrastructure platforms. You translate strategic direction, risk constraints and operational needs into clear architectural choices for compute and storage services that underpin critical banking workloads.
You work at the intersection of engineering, product management and governance. Beyond designing target architectures, you ensure they are buildable, operable and compliant, guiding teams through lifecycle changes, platform evolution, and large transformation programs (e.g. datacenter renewal, resilience improvements, automation). You are a trusted technical authority who brings clarity, makes tradeoffs explicit and keeps the long term architecture coherent.
