What You'll Do
- Design, build and enhance cloud platform solutions that align with long-term architectural objectives while supporting reliable and scalable services across the enterprise.
- Lead the implementation of platform capabilities from design through to production, ensuring quality documentation and operational readiness.
- Identify and deliver automation opportunities that improve platform performance, availability, operational efficiency and cost outcomes.
- Build and maintain CI/CD capabilities that enable consistent, secure and efficient delivery of platform and application services.
- Partner with Tech Leads, Product Owners, Delivery Managers and other stakeholders to deliver strategic initiatives using Agile ways of working.
- Share knowledge with fellow engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, learning and innovation.
- At least 5 years' experience working within a large corporate or enterprise environment, ideally in a Platform Engineer or Systems Engineer capacity.
- Strong AWS platform engineering experience, including the delivery and support of cloud-based services across SaaS, PaaS and IaaS environments. AWS certifications are highly regarded.
- Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to provision, manage and optimise cloud platforms at scale.
- Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines, combined with strong automation skills using Python and Ansible.
- Hands-on experience managing containerised environments using Kubernetes, OpenShift or Docker, including deployment and operational support practices.
- Strong Linux administration knowledge, preferably Red Hat environments, along with experience using observability and monitoring tools to improve platform reliability and performance.
- An interest in AI-assisted engineering tools and modern ways of working that enhance automation, code quality and operational efficiency.
