The AWS & Azure Cloud Engineer is responsible for the design, operation, security, and continuous improvement of Coaction’s cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure. This role is hands‑on and execution‑oriented, with accountability for reliability, cost efficiency, disaster recovery readiness, and alignment with enterprise security and compliance standards.
The position supports an AWS‑first architecture while maintaining and operating key Azure workloads, partnering with internal teams and managed service providers to deliver high‑quality cloud services.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for Cloud Service and Support
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure and services on AWS
- Limited Azure Cloud operations experience a plus
- Deep experience with Disaster Recovery programming Design with AWS services
- Monitor and optimize AWS services for performance, security, and cost-efficiency
- Ensure cloud security best practices, compliance, and governance policies
- Troubleshoot and resolve ALL cloud infrastructure related issues
- Infrastructure liaison and project member for relevant contributions to Coaction IT teams on business and technology initiatives
- Stay updated with AWS innovations and recommend improvements
- Provide AWS Technical leadership within the Coaction IT organization
- Provide project leadership and oversight to upgrade, consolidate and enhance Global Coaction Infrastructure technology and associated frameworks.
- Work closely with 3rd party support providers on Cloud OPS details
- Responsible for Backup and Recovery operations
- Perform Tier 1 through Tier III support
- Azure Cloud Services Experience a Plus
- Strong experience operating infrastructure in: AWS (primary), Azure (supporting / secondary)
- Proficiency in AWS services (RDS, Redshift, EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, IAM, Cloudtrail, Security services etc.)
- Strong understanding of networking and security in AWS
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are a plus
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS/EKS)
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Familiarity with SDLC, DevOps
- Familiarity with Agile project management framework
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering with AWS
- Experience with automation development
- This is not a fully remote position. Applicants must sit in our Morristown, NJ office on our hybrid work schedule.**
