Hexa Consulting is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join our Client's team in a hybrid work model from Porto.

Mandatory Requirements
- 8 to 10 years of experience in platform engineering, cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, DevOps or site reliability engineering.
- Experience defining enterprise-wide platform standards, CI/CD frameworks and developer platform capabilities.
- Strong experience with AWS and GitLab in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Significant experience with version control, configuration management, software delivery and deployment automation.
- Proven experience defining and governing platform engineering standards, best practices and reference architectures across multiple product and development teams.
- Strong experience designing and operating Kubernetes-based platforms and cloud-native application environments.
- Experience implementing observability stacks and reliability practices.
- Experience building and operating Internal Developer Platforms.
- Experience designing and operating Golden Paths, reusable templates, shared platform services and self-service developer capabilities.
- Strong knowledge of DevSecOps practices and compliance automation.
- Experience with platform governance, engineering KPIs, DORA metrics and continuous improvement frameworks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
- Professional working proficiency in English, minimum B2 level.
- Ownership, autonomy, accountability and a collaborative mindset.
Nice to Have
- Experience influencing platform adoption across multiple product teams.
- Experience with enterprise-wide developer productivity initiatives.
- Awareness of ISO/IEC 27001, ISO 9001 or cybersecurity best practices.

Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement systems that optimise software development and infrastructure management.
- Define, govern and promote enterprise-wide platform engineering standards.
- Design and maintain CI/CD frameworks, reusable platform capabilities and engineering best practices.
- Own and evolve the Internal Developer Platform strategy.
- Design Golden Paths, engineering guardrails and self-service developer capabilities.
- Provide innovative solutions to improve standardisation, productivity, efficiency and time-to-market.
- Develop and maintain platform engineering documentation, standards, reference architectures and operational procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues across development, test and production environments.
- Collaborate with development, operations, security and architecture teams to ensure smooth workflows and alignment with enterprise standards.
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical reviews for scalable, secure and resilient application platforms.
- Monitor and track performance, reliability, capacity and cost efficiency of environments and platform services.
- Debug and optimise code, automate tasks and eliminate repetitive manual activities through engineering solutions.
- Lead platform adoption initiatives and support engineering teams in applying platform standards and best practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement using platform governance, engineering KPIs, DORA metrics and developer productivity insights.
Compensation Transparency
Base salary range: EUR 18 000 - EUR 22 000 gross/year
Total compensation: up to EUR 45 000/year
The salary range is based on objective and gender-neutral criteria, including required competencies, professional experience, level of responsibility and role requirements. Final compensation will be determined according to the candidate's profile and position requirements.
