Senior SRE Engineer - Remote Portugal!


Are you an experienced SRE Engineer with a passion for cloud cost optimisation, automation, and driving engineering best practices?


We're partnering with an innovative, high-growth technology company that's redefining how millions of people connect through technology on a global scale. They're looking for a Senior Senior SRE Engineer to join their Site Reliability Engineering team and take ownership of cloud financial operations across a large-scale Google Cloud environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Building cloud cost visibility using GCP Billing, BigQuery, and Looker/Tableau.
  • Creating dashboards, budgets, alerts, and governance across GCP projects.
  • Optimising compute, storage, Cloud SQL, GKE, and Cloud Run workloads.
  • Driving automation through Python scripting and cloud-native tools.
  • Managing cloud forecasting and partnering with Finance on budgeting and reporting.
  • Leading Cloud Cost Reviews and embedding FinOps best practices across engineering teams.


What we're looking for

  • Strong experience in SRE, DevOps, or Cloud Engineering.
  • Proven FinOps experience within large-scale cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (AWS experience also considered).
