🛡️ Senior Cyber Security Architect – Cloud-Native Banking Platforms

Our client is a tier-one global Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) institution. We are seeking a high-caliber, certified Senior Cyber Security Architect to join the global Office of the CISO in Porto.

In this strategic and highly visible role, you will lead the design of a resilient, "security-by-design" environment for complex global banking platforms. You will partner directly with senior business leaders and global IT delivery teams to protect critical financial services, shape multi-cloud security strategies, and pioneer the integration of cutting-edge, AI-enabled controls across cloud-native production environments.

🎯 Your Mission & Key Responsibilities:

• End-to-End Security Architecture: Design, enforce, and maintain comprehensive security architectures across network, application, data, and multi-cloud environments. Produce technical security blueprints, reference architectures, and hardened configuration baselines.
• Cloud Security Deep-Dives: Spearhead secure integration patterns for complex, cloud-centric scenarios (Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containers, serverless, microservices). Define specific guardrails using CSPM, CI/CD security tooling, and centralized secret management solutions.
• Portfolio Cyber Risk Management: Identify, assess, and prioritize technical risks across the global IT portfolio, ensuring absolute alignment with international security standards (ISO 27001/27005, ISO 31000, and NIST CSF).
• Strategic AI/ML Innovation: Champion continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and leveraging next-gen AI/ML tools (automated threat intelligence enrichment, anomaly detection, code review assistants) to optimize security reviews.
• CISO Advisory & Culture: Act as the primary technical security advisor to Product Owners and business units. Translate complex threat landscapes into clear remediation roadmaps for non-technical stakeholders, and lead organization-wide "Security Champion" programs.

👤 Who You Are (Requirements):

• The Certified Authority: CISSP certification is strictly mandatory. Additional credentials (CCSP, CISA, or Cloud Security Specialty in AWS/Azure/GCP) are highly valued.
• Ecosystem Seniority: Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, with at least 4 years exclusively in a security architecture or senior advisory capacity.
• Banking & Financial Services Pedigree: Proven track record delivering secure architectures for large-scale, cloud-native banking, fintech, or critical institutional financial services.
• Technical Mastery: Deep hands-on experience securing major cloud environments (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP), zero-trust networks, container orchestration, and automated pipelines (SAST/DAST, SIEM, DLP).
• Language Skills: Absolute mastery of English (written and oral) is required to collaborate effectively across globally distributed teams (Portugal, France, India). (Basic notions of French are an asset).
• Education: Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related discipline.
