You will have the following responsibilities:
- Define end-to-end software and cloud infrastructure architecture, including domain modeling, service decomposition, API contracts, and integration patterns on AWS, aligned with the Well-Architected Framework;
- Design distributed systems with high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance, including serverless architectures using AWS Lambda (Python) and data modeling on RDS PostgreSQL;
- Lead the architecture of front-end applications in Angular integrated via AWS AppSync (GraphQL), as well as AI agent-based solutions using Kiro and Anthropic models;
- Drive architecture decision records (ADRs), technical trade-offs, and design reviews across the full solution lifecycle;
- Technically lead the engineering team, translating architecture into an execution plan with incremental deliverables and a prioritized technical backlog;
- Define and enforce quality standards, including code review, testing, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and engineering best practices;
- Mentor developers, support technical growth, and act as the escalation point for complex technical challenges;
- Remove technical impediments, manage dependencies, and communicate risks, status, and trade-offs to leadership and stakeholders.
- 10+ years of experience in distributed systems architecture;
- 5+ years of experience in AWS solution design;
- Proven experience in software and application architecture, including microservices, event-driven architecture, and API design — not solely infrastructure;
- Experience as a Tech Lead or in a technical leadership role, with direct accountability for project delivery;
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Associate and/or Professional, Developer, SysOps Administrator, DevOps Engineer, or equivalent);
- In-depth knowledge of scalability, resilience, observability, and disaster recovery;
- Experience with cloud security, including IAM, networking, encryption, and governance;
- Experience working in agile environments (Scrum/Kanban) and with DevOps/SRE culture, including CI/CD, automation, and FinOps;
- Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills;
- English at C2 level and Portuguese at C2 level, with experience in international projects.
