The Role
This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping and scaling a growing platform within Kyndryl, supporting complex enterprise environments and driving modernization at pace. We are looking for a hands-on and forward-thinking DevSecOps/Cloud Consultant who can operate both strategically and technically across large-scale transformation initiatives.
As part of this role, you will work on enterprise-grade infrastructure and application modernization programs, helping clients embed security, automation, and resilience into their technology landscape. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that align with both business objectives and engineering best practices.
You will be responsible for contributing to critical technical decisions, defining solution approaches, and ensuring that DevSecOps principles are embedded throughout the delivery lifecycle. This includes evaluating tooling, supporting architectural design, and enabling secure, scalable, and efficient deployment models across cloud and hybrid environments.
In this capacity, you will act as a trusted advisor, supporting complex, multi-disciplinary engagements and helping clients prioritize use cases, assess trade-offs, and build practical roadmaps. You will also contribute to improving engineering maturity by identifying areas for optimization across automation, security, cost, and performance.
Beyond project delivery, you will play a role in strengthening internal capabilities—contributing to best practices, reusable assets, and continuous improvement of our DevSecOps and cloud consulting offerings.
Your Impact
- Drive the adoption of DevSecOps practices across the software delivery lifecycle
- Support the design and implementation of secure, scalable cloud-native architectures
- Enable automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code practices
- Identify and address inefficiencies across development, security, and operations workflows
- Contribute to architecture decisions, balancing security, performance, cost, and reliability
- Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Who You Are
You’re good at what you do and possess the required experience to prove it. However, equally as important – you have a growth mindset; keen to drive your own personal and professional development. You are customer-focused – someone who prioritizes customer success in their
work. And finally, you’re open and borderless – naturally inclusive in how you work with others.
Required Skills And Experience
- Proven experience in software engineering on complex, enterprise-scale projects.
- Strong programming skills with hands-on development experience in languages such as Java, Python, or .NET, including debugging and problem-solving.
- Solid understanding of modern software development methodologies, with a track record of building scalable and resilient applications.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, as well as data integration (XML/JSON) and RESTful services.
- Knowledge of modern architecture design, including microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and messaging systems.
- Strong foundation in object-oriented programming (OOP) and design patterns.
- Working knowledge of DevSecOps, Agile, and Scrum practices, with the ability to identify inefficiencies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Subject matter expertise in at least one platform or domain (e.g., cloud computing, hyperscalers, or enterprise infrastructure).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Certifications in one or more cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
- Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps tooling and modern engineering practices (CI/CD, automation, infrastructure as code).
- Exposure to IT service management frameworks such as ITIL.
- Understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and operating models.
- Ability to assess and articulate the impact of technology decisions across security, availability, scalability, cost, and performance.
- Experience working within Agile delivery models (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
