About The Role (Your Why)
As a Technical Sales Specialist, you will be at the forefront of new business and revenue generation, working closely with customers to identify and deliver solutions that truly meet their needs. You will bridge the gap between technical capability and commercial outcomes, partnering with both our sales team and customers to design and demonstrate solutions deployed across Datacom's Data Centres. This role will focus on pre-sales technical expertise and long-term client relationship management.
What You Will Do
- Provide pre-sales technical support across Datacom's Data Centre solutions,
- Primarily focusing on Data Centre and networking.
- Deliver compelling sales presentations, product demonstrations and joint customer workshops
- Work with customers to assess, design and implement complex products and solutions
- Build proof-of-concept applications and rapid prototypes to demonstrate solution feasibility
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their objectives and buying criteria
- Coordinate and participate in sales campaigns, events and promotions
- Act as the primary interface between the client and the organisation, ensuring a consistently high level of service
- 5+ years of pre-sales or sales experience with demonstrated account management capability
- Sound knowledge of Hybrid Cloud networking, cloud workloads and Data Centre deployment
- Ability to engage and influence technical leads and stakeholders at all levels
- Strong analytical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business outcomes
- A genuine customer focus with the ability to build lasting partnerships
- A B achelor's degree in Business, IT, Science, Engineering, Economics or a related discipline
- Certifications in AWS, Microsoft Azure or SDN Networking are highly regarded
