Senior Cloud Architect Role

As a Senior Cloud Architect, you will play a strategic and technical leadership role in designing, governing, and delivering enterprise-grade cloud architectures. You will guide organizations through their cloud transformation journey, ensuring scalable, secure, and cost-optimized solutions built on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.

You will act as a trusted advisor to customers and internal teams, bridging business needs with technical execution, while setting architectural standards and best practices across projects.

What you will do:

• Cloud Architecture & Design: Define end-to-end cloud architectures for Azure and Microsoft 365 environments, ensuring scalability, resilience, security, and performance
• Cloud Transformation Leadership: Lead large-scale migrations from on-premises infrastructure to Microsoft Azure and modern cloud-native platforms
• Security & Governance: Design and enforce cloud security, identity, and compliance frameworks using Microsoft security technologies
• DevOps & Automation Strategy: Define and guide Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices across teams
• Technical Leadership: Provide architectural guidance to engineers, consultants, and project teams, ensuring alignment with best practices
• Customer Advisory: Engage with senior stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Optimization & Innovation: Identify opportunities for modernization, cost optimization, and performance improvements in cloud environments
• Documentation & Standards: Define architectural standards, reference architectures, and best practices
• Cross-team Collaboration: Work closely with Security, Infrastructure, Application, and Business teams to deliver end-to-end solutions

What you will bring:

• 6+ years of experience in IT, with strong focus on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 architectures
• Proven experience in designing and delivering enterprise cloud solutions and migration projects
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Strong expertise in Microsoft technologies (Azure, Entra ID / Active Directory, Exchange, Windows Server environments)
• Solid understanding of networking, hybrid cloud architectures, and identity management
• Experience in cloud security, governance, and compliance frameworks
• Strong background in troubleshooting complex distributed systems
• Excellent communication skills in Greek and English (written and verbal)
• Ability to influence stakeholders and lead technical discussions at architectural level
• Strong team collaboration mindset with mentoring capabilities
• Passion for continuous learning and emerging cloud technologies

Additional Skills (considered a strong advantage):

• Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-305, AZ-104, AZ-500, AZ-140)
• TOGAF or other enterprise architecture certifications
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, ARM, Terraform)
• Deep knowledge of Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Microsoft security & compliance stack (Defender, Sentinel, Purview)
• Familiarity with SCCM, Intune, WSUS, DLP, and endpoint management solutions
• Experience designing multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments
• Background in cost optimization (FinOps practices)
