IT System Engineer – Cloud Platform Architect (w/m/d)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced IT System Engineer - Cloud Platform Architect who enjoys combining technical expertise with strategic thinking and cross-functional collaboration.

Your Responsibilities

• Own and further develop our global cloud platform environment
• Design, implement, operate, and optimize enterprise IT services and cloud architectures
• Drive architecture and governance standards for modern cloud solutions
• Ensure high availability, security, stability, and service quality across platforms
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders worldwide to understand business requirements and deliver scalable IT solutions
• Support automation and standardization initiatives using Infrastructure as Code approaches
• Analyse incidents, coordinate troubleshooting activities, and ensure efficient problem resolution
• Work closely with internal IT teams, external partners, and technology providers
• Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to the continuous evolution of our IT landscape

Your Profile

• Relevant technical education
• Several years of experience with cloud technologies and enterprise architecture (Azure, AWS, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure and hybrid IT environments
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
• Knowledge of container technologies such as Kubernetes is considered a plus
• Passion for innovation and modern technologies
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in an international environment
• Structured, reliable, and proactive working style
• Very good German and English language skills
