We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!
The Role
- Build and lead operations and development teams for high-availability AWS services
- Oversee the launch of the European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) in 2025
- Collaborate with global AWS teams and influence service evolution
- Enhance day-to-day operations to improve availability, reliability, latency, performance, and efficiency of ESC
- Participate in on-call rotations to resolve incidents
- Deliver scalable services and ensure a high-availability experience for EU customers
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- National of an EU member state and residing in the EU
- Expertise in systems engineering (hardware, software, networking, operating systems)
- Experience scripting processes in Bash, Python, or Ruby
- Solid understanding of Linux and networking for troubleshooting
- Able to create, revise, and improve standard operational procedures (SOPs)
- Opportunity to work on the inaugural European Sovereign Cloud
- Relocation support for applicants within the EU
