The Role

A growing organisation operating within a critical infrastructure environment is looking to expand its platform engineering capability with the addition of a Platform Engineer.


This is an opportunity to join a business investing heavily in its technology function, where engineers are encouraged to contribute ideas, influence technical direction, and help shape the future platform roadmap.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting and enhancing cloud and infrastructure environments
  • Developing automation and Infrastructure as Code solutions
  • Improving monitoring, reliability, and operational performance
  • Maintaining CI/CD tooling and deployment processes
  • Contributing to infrastructure projects and technical initiatives
  • Collaborating with engineering and security teams on platform improvements
  • Producing technical documentation and operational standards
  • Working with third-party suppliers and technology partners where required


About You

The business is looking for someone with a strong engineering mindset who enjoys solving problems, improving systems, and collaborating across teams. Experience with cloud infrastructure, automation, and platform tooling is important, but attitude, adaptability, and a willingness to learn are valued just as highly as technical expertise.


You’ll ideally bring experience with:

  • Cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
  • CI/CD and DevOps practices
  • Monitoring, operational support, and platform reliability
  • Infrastructure as Code and automation tooling
  • Scripting and infrastructure automation
  • Secure and scalable infrastructure environments
