I'm hiring an Analytics Engineer on a 12‑month maternity cover FTC for a purpose‑driven digital health organisation.
This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role focused on owning the modelling layer of a modern data stack - ensuring critical pipelines continue to deliver as the business scales.

The roleYou'll step into a Senior Analytics Engineering seat, taking ownership of core dbt models and pipelines that underpin business‑critical reporting and billing processes.
This role is central to ensuring continuity - keeping momentum on existing builds while contributing to new modelling work.
What you'll be doing- Own and deliver in‑flight data projects (including billing automation pipelines)
- Build and maintain dbt models (fact tables, dimensions, metric layers)
- Design and enforce strong data modelling standards (star schema, grain, metadata discipline)
- Review SQL and dbt work from analysts, supporting best practice and quality
- Work closely with data engineering on pipeline workflows (bronze → silver → gold)
- Ensure clean documentation and handover at the end of the contract
- dbt (core focus)
- SQL & Python
- Databricks / modern lakehouse architecture
- Power BI + semantic layer for reporting
Must‑haves
- Strong hands‑on dbt experience (modelling, testing, review)
- Advanced SQL skills
- Strong understanding of data modelling (star schema, grain, dimensions/facts)
- Experience working in modern cloud data environments
- Ability to review and improve other analysts' work
- Databricks / lakehouse experience
- Experience with finance / billing data
- Experience in regulated environments (healthcare, finance, etc.)
- A confident, independent analytics engineer
- Someone comfortable stepping into an existing setup and adding value quickly
- Strong attention to quality, documentation, and best practice
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, low‑ego environment
- High ownership of a critical part of the data platform
- Work on meaningful projects in a mission‑driven organisation
