Location: South Africa (Remote)
About the Role
Our client is a fast-growing technology consultancy helping organisations leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation, and modern digital workplace solutions to improve productivity, streamline operations, and accelerate business transformation.
They are looking for an ambitious and entrepreneurial Founding Account Executive to join their commercial team. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with executive leadership, helping to build the sales function from the ground up while owning the full sales cycle and contributing to the company's go-to-market strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Sales
- Own the complete sales cycle from prospecting through to negotiation and closing.
- Generate new business through outbound sales, networking, referrals, and strategic partnerships.
- Build relationships with senior decision-makers, including C-suite executives.
- Conduct consultative discovery meetings to understand client challenges and identify opportunities.
- Present AI, automation, and digital transformation solutions to prospective clients.
- Prepare proposals, business cases, and ROI presentations.
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecast opportunities using CRM systems.
Business Growth
- Contribute to the development of sales strategies and go-to-market initiatives.
- Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to influence service offerings.
- Assist with developing scalable sales processes and best practices.
- Work closely with the marketing team to improve lead generation and campaign effectiveness.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build long-term relationships with customers throughout the sales process.
- Ensure a smooth handover from Sales to Delivery teams.
- Identify opportunities for account growth through upselling and cross-selling.
- Represent the company professionally at client meetings and networking events.
Minimum Requirements
- 1–3 years' experience in B2B SaaS, technology, or software sales.
- Proven ability to close consultative sales opportunities.
- Experience selling into mid-market or enterprise organisations.
- Strong commercial and business acumen.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Comfortable engaging senior executives and multiple stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and pipeline management skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Highly Advantageous
Experience selling one or more of the following:
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions
- Automation platforms
- SaaS solutions
- CRM software
- Digital transformation services
- Enterprise technology consulting
- Work OS platforms
Previous experience working within a startup or high-growth technology business will be highly beneficial.
