Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly creative menswear designer with a strong commercial eye and a portfolio that aligns with the brand aesthetic and product direction.

Working across the full design lifecycle, you will be involved from initial concept development and sketching through to garment development, sampling, fittings, and final retail production. You will collaborate closely with product developers and the wider design team to ensure every product is commercially strong, technically refined, and executed to a premium standard.

Reporting directly to the Head of Fashion Design, you will play a key role in contributing to the continued growth and evolution of the brand.

About the Role:

Design & Product Development

• Design commercially strong menswear products aligned with the brand identity
• Research trends, fabrics, trims, fits, and market direction to evolve the product range
• Create concepts, mood boards, sketches, and technical drawings
• Work closely with product developers throughout the full garment lifecycle
• Support development from initial idea through to finished retail product

Technical Design

• Produce detailed tech packs and technical specifications for development and production
• Ensure designs are accurately communicated to factories and suppliers
• Review samples, fittings, and garment construction to maintain premium quality standards
• Support fit sessions and ongoing product refinement throughout development stages

Creative & Commercial Contribution

• Balance innovation, functionality, and commercial appeal across all products
• Collaborate closely with design, marketing, ecommerce, and wider creative teams
• Maintain awareness of current fashion, luxury, and performance-wear trends
• Contribute fresh ideas that strengthen and evolve the Sandbanks product offering

About You:

• Fashion degree or equivalent industry experience
• Proven experience within menswear fashion design
• Strong commercial portfolio aligned with the aesthetic and product direction
• Experience creating detailed tech packs and garment specifications
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator and Photoshop
• Excellent understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and product development
• Experience working closely with product developers and suppliers
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines within a fast-paced environment
• Pattern cutting or pattern creation experience beneficial but not essential
