Biz Associates Ltd is a specialist Chartered Accountant and tax advisory firm supporting businesses operating in complex, multi-project environments, particularly within the construction and remediation sectors. The firm is currently involved in projects valued at approximately £28 million and has continued to expand its client base since January 2026.
Due to increasing demand and growing prospects, we are seeking an experienced and commercially aware Accounts Manager to join our team and oversee a portfolio of business clients.
As an Accounts Manager at Biz Associates Ltd, you will play a key role in managing client relationships, overseeing accounting and tax compliance requirements, and ensuring accurate financial reporting across multiple assignments.
This position is suited to a motivated professional who can confidently manage competing priorities, maintain strong financial controls, and deliver high standards of client service. You will also support junior team members, contribute to operational improvements, and assist with the ongoing development of the firm.
- Manage a portfolio of business clients, delivering accounting, compliance, and advisory services.
- Act as the main day-to-day contact for clients, maintaining strong professional relationships and clear communication.
- Liaise with HMRC on corporation tax, income tax, and compliance matters.
- Prepare and review statutory accounts, management accounts, corporation tax computations, and supporting working papers.
- Assist with budgeting, cash-flow forecasting, project cost monitoring, and financial reporting.
- Oversee credit control activities, including credit checks, payment terms, aged debt monitoring, and debt recovery follow-up.
- Monitor workflow and reporting deadlines to ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently.
- Supervise, mentor, and review the work of junior staff while maintaining high professional standards.
- Relevant finance or accounting qualification with experience gained within an accounting practice or advisory environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting and taxation, including statutory accounts, CT600 submissions, VAT returns, and management accounting.
- Sound understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and year-end adjustments, including accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and provisions.
- Proven ability to manage multiple clients and reporting deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including professional interaction with clients and HMRC.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Excel and accounting software.
- Experience within construction, remediation, or project-based sectors would be advantageous.
