About Million Dollar Baby Co.
Million Dollar Baby Co. started in 1990 and is proudly family-owned and operated in Los Angeles. Since then, MDB has grown to 7 distinct brands of children’s furnishings ranging in style, aesthetic, and price, while carrying some of the industry’s most eco-conscious and award-winning designs. We can be found in retailers like Target and Amazon, and specialty retailers like Pottery Barn Kids and Crate & Barrel.
Under the Million Dollar Baby Co. parent company are our family of brands: Babyletto, daVinci, Nursery Works, and Namesake. We’re proud to offer the most Greenguard Gold–certified cribs on the market and to use FSC-certified sustainable wood across our brands whenever possible. We’ve also pioneered Styrofoam-free packaging for several of our best-selling collections — an innovation that reduces waste while protecting our products during shipment.
At Million Dollar Baby Co., our team members are our #1 priority, and we partner with exceptional partners and retailers around the world who share our core values:
• Treat Your Team Like Family — lead with respect, gratitude, empathy, and kindness.
• Make an Impact, Drive Results — focus on meaningful work that moves families forward.
• Deliver a “Wow” Customer Experience Every Time — every detail matters.
• Strive for Continuous Improvement & Learning — keep growing, keep getting better.
• Cultivate Quality Conversations — communicate honestly and thoughtfully to build trust.
Over the years, our commitment to people, innovation, and a positive workplace culture has earned us five consecutive “Best Place to Work” awards, one of the best workplaces by “Built in LA”, a 4.6 rating on Glassdoor, and 13 years on the Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Companies list — recognitions that reflect the heart of who we are and the community we’re proud to build. We’d love to talk to you!
About the Role:
We’re looking for a Senior Graphic Designer to join our award-winning Marketing team. The ideal candidate has a track record of building cool, culturally relevant brands — someone who’s worked on the kind of brand work that gets talked about, not just produced. You bring a distinct creative point of view, the taste to know what’s actually good, and the craft and experience to set that bar for the team you lead.
This role sits at the intersection of brand storytelling, execution, and leadership — producing visual content across digital, social, email, retail, and beyond, while raising the craft level of everyone you work with. You’ll internalize our brand guidelines deeply enough to push them forward, and you’ll work across Babyletto, Namesake, and daVinci Baby, understanding what makes each brand distinct and designing accordingly.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Bring a strong, articulated creative point of view to every project — you’re not just executing briefs, you’re shaping how our brands look, feel, and show up in culture
- Design compelling marketing and brand storytelling campaigns for digital advertising, social media (Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook, YouTube), email, websites, and retailer platforms — with a creative standard that is visually arresting, culturally relevant, and aesthetically elevated
- Apply motion graphics, animation, and GIFs to bring brand storytelling to life across channels
- Lead and mentor junior and mid-level designers — reviewing work, giving direction, and raising the bar for craft and brand fluency across the team
- Partner closely with Brand & Brand Activation roles to deliver campaign work that serves both brand and business goals
- Develop deep fluency in each brand’s aesthetic, voice, and positioning — acting as a guardian of creative integrity across every touchpoint
- Understand and design toward performance — fluent in the metrics that matter (ROAS, reach, CTR, thumb stop rate, site traffic) and using that data to continuously refine creative output
- Set the standard for AI tool adoption on the team: pilot new tools, build workflows that accelerate production, and share what you learn so the whole team levels up
- Stay plugged into culture, design, and emerging brands — regularly bringing fresh references and a point of view on what’s working and why
- Edit video and photo assets for use across social, web, and retail partner sites
- Develop print and marketing materials as needed: mood boards, trade show signage, posters, brochures, merchandise, presentation decks
- Manage multiple projects and competing priorities across brands independently, communicating progress clearly and consistently meeting deadlines
- Partner with our overseas creative team to ensure deliverables stay on brand and on message
- Show up as a collaborative, energizing presence on the team — someone others look to for taste, direction, and standards
What You Bring to the Table:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience building brands people pay attention to — agency, in-house, or a mix; we care more about the work than the path
- A portfolio that shows range and a clear, recognizable point of view — not just polished execution of someone else’s vision
- Proven mastery of design fundamentals: layout, color theory, typography, and visual hierarchy
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, After Effects) and Figma.
- Working knowledge of Canva and Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated experience designing visual content for web, mobile, and tablet
- Comfort with — and genuine curiosity about — AI-powered creative tools (generative image tools, AI video, workflow automation, etc.); a track record of driving adoption, not just using them
- Solid understanding of social and digital video platforms and what performs on each
- Strong conceptual thinking: a well-developed point of view you can articulate, defend, and execute
- Excellent communicator — clear, direct, and just as comfortable giving feedback as receiving it
- Demonstrated experience mentoring or leading other designers
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset; you see constraints as creative problems to solve
- Genuine passion for design, interiors, and visual culture — you notice things other people walk past, and you have opinions about why they matter
- A genuinely great attitude: collaborative, curious, and committed to doing work you’re proud of
