$11 trillion of money flows every year between companies in India. It typically takes avg. 70 days for a business to get paid, and it’s increasing 5% every year. Formal funding options are limited, and cover < 5% of the addressable market.

We are building India’s largest B2B Payments Platform that transforms how businesses pay and get paid. Our award-winning platform already processes INR 20,000+ Crores of invoices every month, across 300,000 MSMEs and 1200+ corporates; with 30+ lenders plugged in for credit.

Globally, companies in this space, like Coupa, Bill.com, Melio, C2FO, Tipalti, have witnessed tremendous success over the past decade doing $ Billion+ disbursements weekly and cumulatively valued over $50 Billion.

You will join our core team that currently consists of ex-BCG and ISB / IIM alumni with a team of industry veterans serving on the advisory board. We are backed by Elevation Capital (one of the most successful VCs in India) and General Catalyst ($15 Billion+ global fund, and early investors in Stripe, Airbnb etc.). We share our lineage with HCS, a 25 year old investment bank and a registered NBFC. Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented GST Product Expert to ensure the accuracy, functionality, and quality of our GST platform. This role will work closely with the product, engineering, and compliance teams to validate product features, identify issues, and ensure that GST workflows within the application function correctly and remain compliant with the latest regulations.

The ideal candidate should have strong GST domain knowledge, an analytical mindset, and an eye for identifying product gaps and quality issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Expertise
  • Act as a subject matter expert on GST workflows and compliance requirements within the product.
  • Interpret GST regulations and ensure they are accurately reflected in product features and workflows.
  • Collaborate with the product team to translate GST requirements into functional product logic.
  • Review product features to ensure they align with GST rules, filing processes, and compliance standards.
  • Product Quality Assurance
  • Perform functional testing and validation of new product features, releases, and enhancements before deployment.
  • Design and execute test cases and testing scenarios based on GST workflows.
  • Identify bugs, inconsistencies, or usability issues and document them clearly for the engineering team.
  • Ensure GST-related processes in the platform maintain accuracy, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
  • Application Validation
  • Validate end-to-end GST filing workflows, calculations, and data flows within the application.
  • Ensure the product handles various GST scenarios, edge cases, and compliance rules correctly.
  • Conduct regression testing during product updates to prevent disruptions in existing workflows.
  • Issue Identification & Escalation
  • Investigate product issues and identify root causes related to logic, workflows, or compliance gaps.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to reproduce issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Track issues and ensure fixes are properly validated before release.
  • Product Feedback & Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve product workflows, accuracy, and user experience.
  • Share insights with the product team to help enhance product functionality and reliability.
  • Contribute to improving internal documentation related to GST product logic and workflows.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • CA or pursuing CA done with the articleship training having experience in GST.
  • Strong knowledge of GST regulations and filing procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience and empathy when dealing with customer inquiries.
  • Technical aptitude and the ability to learn and understand software applications quickly.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
