Responsibilities

As a Full-Stack Engineer at nuwacom, you’ll play a key role in building and further developing our AI-native workspace. You’ll work across the entire technology stack—from intuitive user interfaces to robust backend systems—and develop features that enable teams to work more efficiently and collaboratively. In doing so, you’ll collaborate closely with developers, designers, product owners, and AI engineers to implement scalable, high-quality software solutions.

- Developing and implementing end-to-end features—from conception to production—with a focus on an excellent user experience

- Integrating AI functionalities into web applications, particularly using LLMs and AI-powered features

- Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code across the entire stack using TypeScript

- Designing and implementing scalable system architectures with a focus on growth, performance, and reliability

- Conducting code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and compliance with engineering standards

- Analyzing, troubleshooting, and continuously improving technical issues in both the frontend and backend

- Collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams (Development, Design, Product, AI) to define and implement technical requirements

- Designing and executing unit and integration tests to ensure quality and stability

- Continuously optimizing existing systems for performance, scalability, and efficiency

- Creating and maintaining technical documentation to promote transparency and knowledge sharing

- Fostering a culture of learning and collaboration by sharing best practices in software engineering

Your Profile

Must-Haves

- 3–5+ years of experience in full-stack software development

- Strong knowledge of backend development with Node.js

- Extensive experience with front-end technologies such as React, Vue.js, or comparable modern frameworks

- Hands-on experience with TypeScript for type-safe and scalable development

- Good knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or comparable systems

- Solid understanding of system design and scaling principles for robust applications

- Experience with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL for developing scalable services

- Proficiency with Git and collaborative development processes

- Experience with testing frameworks and quality assurance practices

- Strong problem-solving skills with a high standard for code quality and attention to detail

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills within interdisciplinary teams

- Fluency in English (working language); knowledge of German is a plus

Nice to have

- Experience with AI/ML integrations (e.g., OpenAI API, LangChain, PydanticAI, or comparable frameworks)

- Experience with Python for backend development or AI-related scripts

- Familiarity with Tailwind CSS or other modern CSS frameworks

- Knowledge of WebSockets or real-time collaboration features

- Understanding of containerization (Docker) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

- Experience with Prisma or comparable modern ORMs

- Basic understanding of UI/UX principles and design systems

- Experience with agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)

- Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in developer communities
