About the Role
This is a senior, strategy-led growth role. You own the paid acquisition and lead-gen roadmap end to end, set the numeric targets, and are measured on qualified pipeline delivered, not activity completed. You are not personally building every campaign. Execution (ad-building, copywriting, landing pages) is delegated to freelancers or agency partners that you brief, manage, and hold accountable.
The role sits across a multi-brand B2B portfolio, so a big part of the job is prioritisation: deciding where spend and attention go each quarter and being disciplined enough to pull resources from what isn't working. If you've only run one brand's ad account before, this will feel different; if you've worked agency-side or across a multi-brand group, this is likely familiar territory.
The portfolio spans creative/digital agency services, corporate travel management, staffing and recruitment, specialist tech recruitment, and security/compliance technology. Each business has a different buyer (procurement, HR, security/compliance leads, corporate travel managers), but all share a B2B sales motion: longer cycles, account-based targeting, lead quality over volume. This is a remote role and requires strong async communication given the time difference with the Australian leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy and Prioritisation
- Own the B2B paid acquisition roadmap across the portfolio, prioritising spend by commercial stage and opportunity
- Group companies into channel clusters by buyer and sales motion, defining platform and funnel per cluster
- Set and own quarterly numeric targets per cluster with each business lead
Execution Oversight
- Brief and manage freelancers or agencies per cluster; audit and correct their work
- Oversee LinkedIn Ads as the primary channel, supplemented by Google Ads for intent capture
- Own CRM/pipeline data hygiene; reporting is only as good as the data feeding it
- Coordinate with existing SEO/organic workstreams
Reporting and Accountability
- Deliver one consolidated pipeline/spend report weekly, plus a monthly per-cluster deep dive, in a fixed dashboard format, written clearly enough to be read asynchronously without a live call
- Report against agreed numeric targets, not vanity metrics
- Flag underperforming clusters within two weeks of a target miss and propose reallocation; do not wait to be asked
- Quarterly review against targets; two consecutive missed quarters on a cluster triggers a strategy reset for that cluster, not just continued spend
Requirements
- 5+ years running B2B paid acquisition, ideally multi-brand, agency-side, or in a portfolio/holding company
- Strong LinkedIn Ads and Google Ads experience for B2B lead gen; ABM experience a plus
- Comfortable across different B2B motions (channel-led compliance sales, staffing, agency services, corporate accounts)
- Track record of being measured against, and hitting, numeric pipeline targets, not just running campaigns
- Fluent written and spoken English; comfortable working with Australian stakeholders and communication norms
- Reliable internet connection and a dedicated home office setup suitable for client-facing calls
- Self-directed; comfortable managing freelancers/agencies rather than a large in-house team
Nice to Have
- Prior experience working directly with an Australian or other Western client/employer
- Experience in recruitment/staffing, security/compliance tech, corporate travel, or creative agency sectors
- Experience supporting a multi-business operator who needs concise, prioritised communication
- Familiarity with HubSpot, ClickUp, or similar CRM/pipeline tools
