Senior Product Manager Flavors APAC

- We are seeking an experienced Sr. Product Manager – Flavors to be an essential partner in the successful commercialization of flavor solutions in the APAC region. He/she is responsible to develop and execute product strategies and roadmaps for flavor raw materials and technologies in alignment with business goals. They will champion the NPI (new product introduction) process for flavors in APAC to drive localization to the region/sub-regions to drive pipeline growth and increased flavor sales.
- Product Strategy Development
- Drive success of assigned flavor platforms (e.g., flavor profiles, unique ingredients, modulation solutions, and technologies) in APAC, including strategy, positioning, and commercial impact.
- Drive capability building across APAC/China teams through structured product training and tools
- Closely work with APAC product marketing lead to Influence global product strategy by integrating APAC market insights and customer needs
- Commercialization:
- Champion the NPI process for flavors across APAC and sub-regions, developing value proposition and driving cross-functional teams include sales, CD&D, regulatory, category marketing and S&OP to achieve key milestones in adoption and localization
- Tracking and reporting NPI progress, performance and business impact to relevant stakeholders
- Cross-Functional collaboration
- Act as the link between global product marketing team and local cross function team to ensure technical claims align with local customers’ needs
- Support Flavor Product Trainings for APAC where relevant
- Support Flavor events/trade shows/customer engagements as required
- Market intelligence
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify gaps and drive “voice of the market” insights back to relevant function team
- Customer Engagement
- Attend high-level customer meetings to introduce NPI relevant product/solution and gather feedback for product improvement
- Communication
- Working closely with APAC Product marketing lead for developing internal and external communication content
- In charge of product communication on Wechat in China
- Experience: 5+ yrs of experience in product management, preferably within the flavor industry. Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the food and beverage industry.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of flavor applications, ingredient functionality and sensory science.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills for creative problem-solving and driving projects to completion.
- Effective project management skills with the ability to prioritize and drive multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and present as needed to customers.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Business or related field
