We’re based in Vaughan, Ontario, with 15 regional locations that include custom manufacturing facilities in Edmonton, Toronto and Winnipeg, as well as cash and carry locations, product showrooms and equipment demo sites. Spicers Canada is part of Central National Gottesman Inc. (CNG), a global seller and distributor of paper, pulp, packaging materials, metals and wood products.

We are currently looking for a full-time Account Manager, Packaging and Facility Solutions located in Vaughan, Ontario, reporting to the Sales Director Packaging & Facility Solutions, Central Region.

Your Challenge

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Sales Director Packaging & Facility Solutions, Central Region, the duties and responsibilities of the Account Manager, Packaging and Facility Solutions, include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Expand current customer base through new business growth;
  • Manage and nurture relationships with large and key accounts to maximize customer retention and satisfaction;
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within assigned territories;
  • Collaborate with inside sales and cross-functional teams to coordinate efforts and deliver customized solutions to clients;
  • Monitor account performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior management on sales progress and client feedback;
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure profitable deals while maintaining strong client partnerships; and
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of sales experience;
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma or the equivalent combination of education and experience an asset;
  • Industry knowledge considered an asset;
  • Proven experience in account management, specifically handling large or national accounts;
  • Demonstrated success in new business development and regional sales;
  • Experience in inside sales environments;
  • Experience with packaging and facility products or environments;
  • Advanced degree or professional certification in sales or account management;
  • Familiarity with industry-specific market trends and competitive landscape;
  • Ability to travel regionally as needed to meet with clients;
  • Multilingual capabilities to support diverse client bases;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage customer accounts;
  • Proficiency in CRM software and/or sales analytics tools;
  • Punctual, dependable, and reliable;
  • Excellent teamwork and ability to work independently;
  • Self-directed and self-motivated; and
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Working Conditions

  • Able to work on a computer for numerous hours which may result in strain on wrists, eyes, back, etc.;
  • Ability to work in a busy, open area office;
  • May have to spend long hours in concentration which requires attention to detail and high levels of accuracy;
  • This position faces a number of deadlines which may cause stress; and
  • Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
