Senior Python engineer with React

A greenfield vertical focused on automating manual processes in music publishing operations — registrations, royalties, and performance rights management. The initial phase targets a quick win: augmenting an existing accounting team by improving how financial data is cleaned, structured, and presented to customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services for processing and structuring financial and rights data (compositions, writers, royalties, payments)
• Build and maintain data pipelines using Snowflake and DBT (views, caching, snapshots)
• Develop full-stack features with React + TypeScript on the frontend side (~30% of work)
• Collaborate with the accounting team to understand data flows and translate manual processes into automated solutions
• Clarify requirements independently and build proofs of concept to validate functionality
• Own features end-to-end — from requirements to production — in a greenfield environment with an evolving roadmap

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• 8+ years of backend development experience, Python is a must
• React + TypeScript for frontend work
• AWS (Lambda, S3, or similar services) + Terraform
• Snowflake or comparable data warehouse experience
• DBT or similar data transformation tooling
• Strong understanding of data modeling and pipeline architecture

Nice-to-have

• Experience in fintech, music/media, or royalties/rights management domains
• Familiarity with financial data processing and reporting
• Experience building in greenfield / 0-to-1 environments

Soft skills

• High ownership and accountability — comfortable driving features independently
• Operates well under ambiguity without a fully defined roadmap
• Strong communication skills for requirements clarification and stakeholder alignment
• Proactive POC mindset: demonstrates functionality early rather than waiting for perfect specs
