Overview

RhoLabs.io is seeking a strategic, hands-on Ecosystem Lead to drive adoption of the Rho Protocol among institutional and crypto-native trading stakeholders. You will lead efforts to engage trading firms, DeFi protocols, liquidity providers, and key ecosystem partners to expand Rho’s reach across the decentralized financial infrastructure landscape. This role blends business development, strategic partnerships, and ecosystem growth, with a strong focus on the trader and institutional DeFi community.

Our team is distributed across Lisbon, London and remote locations, with an expanding network of clients and partners across major global financial hubs and onchain platforms.

A strong understanding of crypto, onchain liquidity, and experience working with professional or crypto-native traders is essential.

Responsibilities

• Ecosystem Growth: Identify and onboard high-impact ecosystem participants — including trading firms, DAOs, protocols, and liquidity providers — that can benefit from integrating or using Rho’s infrastructure.
• Partnership Development: Establish and manage partnerships with institutions and DeFi-native players such as aggregators, trading protocols, vault strategists, and execution platforms.
• Trader Engagement: Build relationships with professional and onchain traders; educate them on Rho's products and work with them to integrate, adopt, or build around the protocol.
• Protocol Representation: Serve as a public-facing evangelist for Rho, representing the protocol at crypto conferences, trader meetups, and online communities.
• Market Feedback: Collect and synthesize insights from traders and partners to help refine product-market fit and inform roadmap decisions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing, product, and engineering teams to align ecosystem initiatives with broader go-to-market and liquidity strategies.

• Experience: 4–6+ years in crypto, DeFi, or trading-related business development. Experience engaging with institutional, professional, or algorithmic traders preferred.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the DeFi trading ecosystem, onchain liquidity, and derivatives markets.
• Technical Familiarity: Confident discussing DeFi integrations, trading interfaces, liquidity routing, and basic smart contract interaction.
• Strategic Focus: Ability to prioritize and execute high-impact relationships across trading firms, protocols, and strategic partners.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills; credible with institutional and crypto-native trading teams alike.
• Self-Starter: Comfortable operating autonomously in a fast-paced, startup environment, while coordinating across time zones and functions.

• Understanding of structured products or fixed income, onchain or offchain
