IGNIS P2X is a joint venture between IGNIS and KKR to decarbonise hard-to-abate sectors. The JV is dedicated to development of green hydrogen, ammonia, e-methanol, e-fuels and SAF production plants serving blue chip corporates active in refining, steel, chemicals, fertiliser, among other sectors, as well as traditional renewables, largely wind and solar, associated with the hydrogen and ammonia projects. As a Financial Modelling & Strategy Junior Analyst you will be focused on driving development and owning of financial analysis/models of different opportunities & projects, and help the management in key strategic & investment decisions. In this role, you will drive understanding, structuring, and optimization of the different value levers in order to optimize production costs of green hydrogen and other energy vectors. You will also take an active role in key transactions across the platform, including project financing processes, M&A opportunities and the structuring and evaluation of long-term commercial arrangements.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and structure complex financial models from scratch on the different greenfield/brownfield assets and opportunities including operational/business plan model and capital structure.
- Drive understanding and optimisation of different value levers to optimize plant/project profitability and performance.
- Support the preparation of investment materials and strategic presentations to enable investment processes and management reporting.
- Support and help coordinate M&A opportunities and financing processes, including valuation, structuring analysis and interaction with lenders/advisors.
Preferred background:
- Finance or Engineering background.
- 1-3 years of experience working in investment banking, transaction services or corporate development roles within the Energy/Infrastructure sectors.
- Strong financial modelling background with experience in revenue/cost models, tax modelling, capital structures, project finance, and valuation principles.
- Knowledge of and/or high interest in power and renewable energy sectors.
