WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will be helping to drive graphic strategy and vision while working with multiple teams of designers, developers, and product managers within Global Football footwear to deliver creative concepts that are in line with the Nike Design Ethos. This opportunity will require tight-knit collaboration to meet deadlines, stay within budgets, ensure feasibility of designs, all while communicating the creative story behind your work to internal partners. This role is focused on Global Football footwear and does not include apparel. You'll be working with a sport and performance driven team and while a strong understand of football (soccer) is a bonus, it is not required.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
As our Graphic Designer II, you will combine your experience, problem solving abilities, and creativity to bring to life the seasonal creative narratives through graphic design that is trend relevant to the consumer. You will create original graphics that appropriately reflect the future of Nike Football. The designs you create will be industry leading, trend right and will consistently incorporate consumer/athlete insights through powerful storytelling, emotional connectivity and relevance.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Product Design or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training.
  • 1-4+ years directly relevant work experience.
  • Passion and understanding of current and emerging design trends, as well as visual culture.
  • Ability to translate insights into authentic narratives and visual storytelling.
  • Ability to adapt to change and balance multiple, contending priorities.
  • Professional visual and verbal communication skills, and the ability to effectively present design intent to internal and external audiences.
  • Knowledge of repeat pattern creation, printing techniques specific to textiles, understanding how designs will translate from digital to physical.
  • Knowledge of branding, typography and packaging.
  • Ability to translate graphics into graphic applications (ie screenprints, molds, sublimation, etc)
  • Knowledge of footwear product creation and basic knowledge of footwear construction.
  • Proficient in Adobe CC and comfortable working within new digital spaces. (Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator is a must).
  • Ability to embrace diverse points of view while encouraging an environment of inclusivity.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

Your role involves developing graphic toolboxes across various graphic applications to create compelling and exciting footwear that jumps off the shelf at retail and stands out on the pitch. The ideal candidate needs to be hardworking, versatile, collaborative and a highly creative problem solver. Driving Graphic Design excellence through the connection of trend, design, and craft.

From concepting and building narrative, to working with development and production design teammates to finalize production ready files. From talking with athletes* to choosing graphic applications that are right for footwear, this designer will be challenged by a wide range of responsibilities and experiences. They'll use their design skills to contribute to the graphic direction for Nike Global Football, while working through the lens of business and consumer insights with an emphasis on footwear graphics. Accountabilities include: influencing cross-functional teams, contributing to the creative vision of global football footwear, cascading critical information, and communicating graphic concepts and seasonal initiatives to internal and external audiences etc.
