Sales Account Manager (m/f/d)

The FOCUSLIGHT Technology Group develops and manufactures high-precision laser and photonics solutions for industrial and scientific applications.

Its core business segments include diode lasers, optical systems, micro-optics, and laser applications for manufacturing, medical, and semiconductor technologies. Our technologies are used in areas such as material processing, LiDAR systems, medical technology, and data communication.

With international R&D and production sites, FOCUSLIGHT combines research, engineering, and large-scale manufacturing on a global level.

Your Topics?

We are looking for a sales-driven professional to actively develop new business opportunities and expand existing customer relationships in an international environment. The focus is on sales excellence and strategic business development across Germany, Scandinavia, and Eastern Europe.


In the role of Sales Account Manager, you will be responsible for:

· Meeting and exceeding sales targets while actively expanding the sales pipeline across Germany, Scandinavia, and Eastern Europe, with a strong focus on sustainable revenue growth

· Applying consultative selling approaches to develop and grow business relationships with both new and existing customers

· Managing the full sales cycle for assigned accounts, including long-term relationship building through regular engagement and on-site customer visits to ensure alignment, satisfaction, and retention

· Identifying new business opportunities and adjacent markets through structured markets and competitive analysis to strengthen Focuslight’s market position

· Providing structured internal reporting via CRM, including forecasts, customer updates, and active participation in trade fairs, conferences, and other marketing and sales activities

What we expect from you:

Naturally, we have corresponding requirements for the right candidate in terms of both professional qualifications and personal fit. We expect analytical thinking, creativity, and intrinsic motivation. In addition, you ideally bring further qualities such as

· 10+ years of sales or business development experience in photonics markets, with successful track record of closing multi $M deals.

· Strong project management capabilities with demonstrated success in managing complex technology design cycles.

· BSc or higher degree in a science or engineering discipline.

· Ambitious, results-oriented and independent mindset

· Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills. Fluent in English and in German required

· Disciplined and accurate forecasting and CRM ability.

· Willingness to travel >50% of the time within EMEA, with occasional trips to Asia
